Hello, come on in!

Updated: Nov 23, 2018

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Amber Teague, and I want to thank you for stopping by. Here I will be posting various articles about Design, Kitchen & Bath products, and even interviewing some of my role models within the industry. But first, I will start with a little bit about myself.

Almost 4 years ago I had the opportunity to move to a wonderful part of Dallas, Winnetka Heights. This North Oak Cliff neighborhood is adjacent to Kessler Heights, and the exciting Bishop Arts District. Boy has it changed! Within these four years I have watched the home values sky rocket, and the hipsters descend. This little corner of Dallas has such personality. Bishop Arts with its Boutiques and chef owned restaurants, to W Jefferson Blvd, home to bodegas and quinceanera shops.

Winnetka Heights is a Historical District, and many of the homes were built between 1915 - 1918, making the neighborhood over a hundred years old. These homes are full of character! Equipped with separate entrances, detached servant's quarters, and two living rooms, these homes are a peek into another time. A time when corsets were worn at all times, formal dinner parties were a must, and the children were kept in a separate drawing room.

New families are now moving in, and gutting these old beauties giving them a second life. In my next post, I will talk about a few great products that will maintain the charm and quality Craftsman Style homes provide.
